Consultation Fee
A consultation fee is required to reserve your private appointment. During your consultation, we'll take the time to understand your needs, review your options, and answer all of your questions — with no pressure.

Cancellation & No-Show Policy: We kindly ask that you provide at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Late cancellations or no-shows may result in forfeiture of the consultation fee.
Insurance Reimbursement
AlterEGO Hair Solutions is an out-of-network provider. We do not bill insurance companies directly; however, we are committed to helping you navigate the reimbursement process.
We assist clients with the documentation commonly requested by insurance plans for reimbursement, which may include:
- Itemized receipts
- Product descriptions and HCPCS codes
- Letters of medical necessity (provided by your physician)
- Superbills upon request
Please note: Coverage varies by insurance plan and policy. We strongly encourage you to contact your insurance provider before your consultation to ask about your cranial prosthesis (medical wig) benefits. We are happy to help you prepare the right questions to ask.
Patient Financial Responsibility
As an out-of-network provider, patients are typically responsible for payment at the time of service. Depending on your insurance plan, you may be responsible for:
- Deductibles — the amount you pay before insurance begins to cover costs
- Coinsurance — your share of costs after your deductible is met
- Non-covered services — items or services your plan does not include
During your consultation, we'll review estimated costs and help you understand your options before you make any decisions.
